Here's kind of a funny little anecdote to explain a little about what brings the subject of parenting books up:
Several weeks ago, I posted something on my personal Facebook page about how I had the whole baby thing figured out (even though I already knew what I was doing for the most part) and that I was used to 3 year olds and up, but had no clue what to do with a kid between the ages of 1 and 3. (Which, if you're new here, is where my daughter happens to fall at the moment.) I also said something semi-jokingly about how I wondered if there was a manual on that age out there somewhere.

Welcome to our last review of Dawn Publications Spring 2014 book releases! I hope you all have been enjoying these sneak previews as much as I enjoyed reviewing the books! Again, these books will be available in the spring of next year, most likely around March or April, so be sure to check their website when the time gets closer at www.dawnpub.com.
Today's book is The Mouse and the Meadow, which was written and illustrated by Chad Wallace. I have to admit that this was my favorite. I think the main reason for this is because I feel like the author did a great job of writing the story in such a way that you can't help but feel empathetic towards the mouse.

I used to love riding a scooter at one of my aunt's house. It's nice to see that they are still around for today's children! I really like that it has special raised gripping so that children are less likely to have their feet accidentally slip.
Y Bike GLX
Surfing down the pavement has never looked this cool! Check out the bright, fun, neon colors of the new, updated YBIKE GLX scooter! The practical “Lean and Steer” three wheel design of the award winning GLX is the best scooter for little ones still learning to balance. Features include a super wide rear wheel for extra stability, built-in raised grip surface on the scooter deck, light weight aluminum handlebar, and easy to use rear brake. Perfect for kids ages 2 – 5 with maximum weight of 44 lbs.
The Y Bike GLX Scooter is a great toy and my kids really have enjoyed it!
"My girls had a blast on it. My 3 year old had to get warmed up to it at first but after that she was "crazy" on wheels. She even went as far as asking me to ride in the road. With supervision she felt like a rock star as the other kids down the road watched her zoom on her GREEN Scooter. High light of her night was when a few 8 year old boys said "cool scooter" to her! This made my 5 year old want to ride it! While she can ride it, it was more of a perfect fit for my 3 year old. The only down fall is I wish it folded up so I could store it away for winter."
• Age 2 - 5 years • Max. Weight 20 kg / 44 lb • Colors Green, Blue, Pink

First of all, no, it is not about a girl named Sally selling seashells by the seashore. It IS about a little girl named Sue who spends the day gathering shells along the beach to give to her grandma as a gift. This is a fun book to help children learn numbers 1-10 and about different types of shells and where some of them come from.
One of the great things about this children's book is that it keeps track of the shells as Sue finds more and more. On the left side of the left page, it visually shows what types of unique shells are added to her collection on each page. For example, Sue finds a Periwinkle shell to begin with then a Kitten's Paw which is added above the previous one, and so on and so forth. Not only does it help children learn to count to 10, as I mentioned, but they will also learn how to identify some basic shells and learn the names of them.
Again, I love the rhyming in this book as well. It flows nicely and I really believe it helps younger children to remember what they're learning. (Even if they don't realize consciously they're learning. ;) )
Seashells by the Seashore is actually already available in paperback and hardback copies, so be sure to check out its page on Dawn Publications website HERE. (This would make a great holiday gift for children, especially to read on a cold winter night together!) It will be available sometime around March or April in board book version.

Premature infants with prolonged hospital stays, and multiples (twins or triplets) are at particular risk unless nursing staff address the problem. Medical treatments to correct the condition include physical therapy and custom helmets and may exceed $5,000 in cost.

The DidyTai is versatile. Its toggle base allows for a great newborn hold and for the mobility of an older baby.
Other features of the Didy Tai include:
